OPERATION

Note: Before first use please disassemble and wash the cover,
container and cutting unit assembly. Rinse, dry and reassemble.
(Do not put cutting unit assembly in dishwasher)
1. Place blender base on clean, dry surface. Make sure
ON/OFF/PULSE switch is in the OFF position.
2. Place assembled container onto blender base, making sure it
is securely seated.
3. Place ingredients to be processed in container.
4. Place cover on container.
5. Push speed switch to HI or LOW.
6. Place hand on cover and turn ON/OFF/PULSE switch to ON or PULSE.
7. When blending process is complete turn OFF.
8. Empty container and clean according to instructions.
BLENDING TIPS
Place liquid or semi-liquid ingredients in container first. The blending action of
the liquid will pull dry ingredients to the blades. Slice or chop firm fruits,
vegetables, cooked meats or poultry, into 1-inch chunks before placing in
container.
HI OR LOW
The blender may be switched from LOW to HI, or vice versa, while the motor is
running. It is not necessary to turn the blender off to change speeds.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BLENDING HOT MIXTURES
Important: To minimize the possibility of scalding, the following
precautions MUST be observed.
1. Process only 2 cups at a time.
2. Start blending at LOW speed then move to HI.
3. Remove the filler-cap from the cover to allow steam to escape.
4. Never stand with your face directly over the container when
operating the blender.
ICE
Do not crush large chunks of ice in this blender. Smaller cubes of ice similar to
those made in most ice makers may be added with liquid to make frozen
drinks or frappe. The liquid helps to feed the ice cubes into the blades.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Always unplug the blender when not in use.
Never remove or replace the container from the blender base
while the motor is still running. This will damage the unit.
The blender must always come to a complete stop before
removing the container.
Never store any kitchen utensils in the container since the
blender would be damaged if inadvertently turned on.
Caution: Do not wash in dishwashers in which heat exceeds
195 degrees Fahrenheit/91 degrees Centigrade.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

1. Immediately after using, fill container half full with warm water.
2. Add a drop of liquid detergent or 1/2 teaspoon of detergent
powder.
3. Cover and blend on LOW speed for 30 seconds.
4. Turn blender off, then rinse container and let air dry.
5. Wash cover in warm, soapy water. Rinse and let dry.
If blender will not be used again within 1 hour, sanitize container.
The cutting unit assembly of Model 91200 should occasionally be
disassembled and washed in hot, soapy water. Rinse, then dry and
reassemble for storage.
DO NOT WASH CUTTING UNIT ASSEMBLY in dishwasher.
TO SANITIZE
1. After washing the container, fill with a cold chlorine based
sanitizing solution.
Sanitizing Solution: The sanitizing solution should consist of 1 tablespoon of
household bleach per 1 gallon of clean, cool (10-22 degrees C) water mixed
according to the instructions on the bleach.
NOTE: When using a sanitizing solution other than the recommended, the
sanitizing solution concentration should be tested using commercially
available test strips and should indicate a concentration of between 100
and 200 parts per million of bleach to water.
2. Cover and blend at LOW speed for a minimum of 2 minutes.
3. Empty container but do not rinse.
4. Dry by placing container on blender base and turn blender
on HI speed for 2 seconds.
REMOVING CLUTCH FROM HAMILTON BEACH POWER UNIT
1. Place a flat screw driver against the clutch base at approximately 45° angle.
2. Strike the screw driver with a mallet forcing the clutch to turn in a clockwise
direction.
EMPLEO
(ON/OFF/PULSE) esté apagado (posición OFF).
encendido/apagado/intermitente (ON/OFF/PULSE) en posición encendida o
intermitente (ON o PULSE).
(posición OFF).
1. Procese sólo 2 tazas (1/2 litro) por vez.
2. Comience licuando a velocidad baja (LOW) y luego cambie a alta (HIGH).
