  • Page 3 Use Your Surge Protector 1. Switch RESET/OFF to OFF. 2. Plug the surge protector’s AC plug into a standard three-prong wall outlet. 3. Slide the Safety Covers aside to connect your equipment. 4. Switch RESET/OFF to RESET. Caution: • Do not plug this surge protector into a non-grounded outlet. Doing so invalidates your Limited Warranty and puts your equipment at risk. • If PROTECTED or GROUNDED do not light, stop using the surge protector.

    Troubleshooting Why does the RESET/OFF switch turn off? The 15A circuit breaker has tripped. Examine your connected equipment and remove devices to reduce the total amperage below 15A. Then switch RESET/ OFF back to RESET. What if the GROUNDED indicator does not light when I plug in the surge protector? Move your surge protector to a different grounded, three-prong AC outlet. If it still does not light, return the product to the dealer for assistance. If the surge protector proves to be working properly, your outlets may not be properly grounded and need to be repaired by a professional electrician.

    What if the GROUNDED indicator turns off after a short period of use? A portion of the surge protection has been depleted. Replace your surge protector. What if the PROTECTED indicator does not light? The surge protector’s AC line is no longer protected from surge; replace the surge protector. The surge protector may have received a power surge or spike beyond its specified limits. The surge protector should have absorbed enough of the surge to protect your connected equipment, but it will not protect against future surges and spikes.
