You can make people and subjects appear
closer with the 5 times optical zoom, and
landscapes can be recorded in wide angle.
(35 mm film camera equivalent: 30 mm to
150 mm for DMC-LZ1 0/32 mm to 160 mm
for DMC-LZ8)
To record in wider angle without
deteriorating (Extended optical zoom),
do not set the picture size to the highest
setting for each aspect ratio

(Tele)
Rotate the zoom lever towards Tele.
• To make subjects appear further
away use (Wide)
Rotate the zoom lever towards Wide.
