    Toshiba e-BRIDGE Re-Rite is an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) application that adds to the benefits offered by your Toshiba MFP. It enables you to simply and easily convert your paper documents into electronic records, in the format of your choice. In addition, you can gather TIF files from your emails and convert them to conveniently editable formats.

    Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 installation is required as a prerequisite. This setup is available from the ISSetupPrerequisites folder on your e-BRIDGE Re-Rite installation CD. 1. Insert the e-BRIDGE Re-Rite CD into your CD ROM drive. 2. Double-click the Setup.exe file in your CD ROM drive through Windows Explorer.

When a file is processed, e-BRIDGE Re-Rite checks first if there is an XML file that goes with the scanned file in the source folder.     This is the motivation for the addition of the batch separation feature that allows for the creation of multiple files from a scanned batch. Using automated batch separation, e-BRIDGE Re-Rite can handle large volumes of documents faster and more efficiently with a choice of 2 different methods for complete control.
  • Page 39 Re-Rite processes all the pages and delivers the individual documents converted into the format and language specified by the template. e-BRIDGE Re-Rite supports Code 39 barcode and should have a minimum of 2.5cm(1 inch) size for easy readability.     The MetaScan Template or Enhanced Scan Template (EST) functionality is a new feature of the Toshiba MFP.     Output File Format utput File Format CSV1 - Comma Separated Values (ANSI). Files are converted to CSV format. Data contained in these files is text only ANSI (128 character types) and separated by a comma. This format is supported by applications such as Microsoft Excel. CSV2 - Comma Separated Values (Unicode).

    This file is stored in the Log folder created in your selected Working Directory, for example, C:\Re-Rite\Log. Daily Log The daily log stores an audit trail of files captured by e-BRIDGE Re-Rite. A new file is created each day, named with the format yyyy-mm-dd.log.txt, for example 2009-02-27.log.txt To view the daily log file: On the e-BRIDGE Re-Rite menu of the web control panel, click View Log.
