    If your microwave oven is not working, check the following:

    • Household fuse or circuit breaker: If a household fuse has blown or a circuit breaker has tripped, replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call an electrician.
    • Door: Firmly close the door. If a packaging spacer is attached to the inside of the door, remove it and firmly close the door. If a message about the door appears in the display, open and close the door, then start the cycle.
    • Control: Make sure the control is set properly and that Control Lock is off. Also, ensure Demo Mode is off.

    If your microwave oven is not heating food, first try to heat 1 cup (250 mL) of cold water for 2 minutes at 100% cooking power. If the water does not heat, check the following:

    • Household fuse or circuit breaker: Replace the fuse or reset the breaker if tripped.
    • Door: Firmly close the door, ensuring any packaging spacer is removed.
    • Control: Make sure the control is set properly, and Control Lock and Demo Mode are off. If the microwave oven still does not operate after these steps, call for service.

    To clean your microwave oven, ensure all controls are off and the oven is cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Clean with mild soap, water, and a soft cloth or sponge, or as indicated below:

    • For the nonstick cavity coating, do not use metal or sharp utensils, scrapers, or abrasive cleansers/scrubbers.

    • For racks, use mild soap, water, and a washcloth. Dishwasher cleaning is not recommended. To avoid damage from soil buildup causing arcing, keep the cavity, microwave inlet cover, cooking rack supports, and the area where the door touches the frame clean.

    The microwave oven must be installed or located according to the provided Installation Instructions. It is suitable for use above both gas and electric cooking equipment and is intended for use above ranges with a maximum width of 36" (91.44 cm). The appliance must be grounded by plugging it into a properly installed and grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter. A 120 volt, 60 Hz, AC only, 15- or 20-amp electrical supply with a fuse or circuit breaker is required, with a time-delay fuse or circuit breaker and a separate circuit serving only this microwave oven being recommended.

    The microwave oven can be used for various functions and settings:

    • Manual Cooking/Stage Cooking: Touch COOK TIME, enter the desired time, touch COOK POWER (if not 100%), enter the power level (10-90), then touch the Start control. For additional stages, touch OPTIONS/CLOCK to enter programming for the next stage, then enter cook time and power for each stage, and touch Start.
    • Sensor Cooking: The oven detects moisture released from food and adjusts the cooking time. Ensure the microwave is plugged in for at least 1 minute and use a microwave-safe dish with a loose-fitting lid or plastic wrap with vents.     The ventilation fan has various speeds, from high to low, and off. It comes on automatically as a cooling fan during any cook function.

    To set the Vent Timer, touch OPTIONS/CLOCK to reach the Fan Timer submenu, and select the setting to run for exactly 30 minutes, or for only 30 minutes more (off after 30 minutes). The vent fan can be turned off at any time using the Vent Fan control.

    On some models, the Auto Vent Fan will automatically turn on at high speed if the temperature from the range or cooktop below gets too hot, and cannot be turned off while "AUTO FAN ON for heat circulation" is displayed. Similarly, Dynamic Fan Sensing will automatically turn on at various speeds depending on the temperature, and cannot be turned off while "AUTO FAN Sensor Technology for heat circulation" is displayed. The fan speed will decrease and turn off as the temperature cools.

    The cavity light bulb is located behind the vent grille at the top front of the microwave oven, under the bulb cover. To replace it:

    1. Remove two screws on the vent grille.
    2. Tilt the grille forward and lift it out.
    3. Open the bulb cover and replace the bulb.
    4. Close the bulb cover.
    5. Replace the vent grille and secure it with screws.
