Resetting External Flash Functions

You can reset the options in the [External flash func. setting] and [External
flash C.Fn setting] screens to their defaults.
Press the [
settings] (within [Flash Control] on the
[
3] tab), and press the [ ] button.
Press the [ ][ ] buttons, or turn the [ ]
dial to select an option, and then press
the [ ] button. On the next screen, press
the [ ][ ] buttons, or turn the [ ] dial
to choose [OK], and then press the [ ]
button.
[Clear built-in flash set.] cannot be accessed when an external
flash is attached.

Using External Microphones

Connect a commercially available microphone equipped with a mini
plug (3.5 mm diameter) to the camera's external microphone IN terminal
( = 3). Sound will be recorded with the external microphone. The
internal microphones will not be used when an external microphone is
connected.
Open the cover and connect the external
microphone.
] button, select [Clear

Movies
Settings will apply to external microphones as well when the
attenuator is enabled ( = 59).
When using an external microphone, [Wind Filter] ( = 59) is
always set to [Off].
