Optional Accessories

The following camera accessories are sold separately. Note that
availability varies by area, and some accessories may no longer be
available.
Lens
EF-M lenses, EF lenses, EF-S lenses
Pick from a variety of lenses to support whatever target or expression
you want. The Mount Adapter EF-EOS M is required to attach EF and
EF-S lenses.
Mount Adapter EF-EOS M
Use this mounting adapter to attach EF or
EF-S lenses to your camera.
Power Supplies
Battery Pack LP-E17
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
Battery Charger LC-E17/LC-E17E
Charger for Battery Pack LP-E17
The message [Battery communication error] is displayed if you
use a non-genuine Canon battery pack, and user response is
required. Note that Canon shall not be liable for any damages
resulting from accidents, such as malfunction or fire, that occur
due to use of non-genuine Canon battery packs.
The battery pack includes a convenient cover which you can
attach so that
is visible on a charged battery pack, and attach
it so that
is not visible on an uncharged battery pack.
AC Adapter Kit ACK-E17
For powering the camera using
household power. Recommended when
using the camera over extended periods,
or when connecting the camera to a
printer or computer. Cannot be used to
charge the battery pack in the camera.
The battery charger and AC adapter kit can be used in areas with
100 – 240 V AC power (50/60 Hz).
For power outlets in a different format, use a commercially
available adapter for the plug. Never use an electrical transformer
designed for traveling, which may damage the battery pack.
