Audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, MP3, DVD-ROM, and DVD Audio. The DVD-401-01-x can be mounted in a cabinet or bulkhead. A unique strapping feature allows up to four (4) similar devices to be used in the same system at the same time for a total of eight (8) selectable players, while maintaining independent control. -

Digital audio fiber optic output capability Optional Equipment The DVD-401-01-x can be optionally controlled by infrared remote or AI’s touch screen panel. Digital codes allow the unit to interface with an infrared handheld remote via an infrared receiver, IFR-9A or IFR-485. -

Audio International, Inc. DVD-401-01-x Installation & Operation Manual Application Introduction The DVD-401-01-x operates between +18 and +32 VDC with a power consumption of less than 1A at +28 VDC. In addition, the DVD-401-01-x is capable of withstanding power interruptions in duration of 200 msec or less. -

Ensure that power and ground are applied only where specified. Damage to the unit may result if power or ground is applied to the wrong points. -

All fiber optic connectors/couplers shall use ceramic ferrules to minimize adverse reflection effects. BRAND-REX P/N: OC-1011 or equivalent fiber optic cabling is recommended for use for all digital audio cabling. - Page 12 Audio International, Inc. These connectors provide power, data bus control, infrared input, and three (3) infrared strapping pins for alternate configuration of infrared digital command codes, respectively.

Load DVD1 with a disc. If the disc does not start playing automatically, then use the DVD-401-01-x front panel controls or the handheld remote control unit to select PLAY. Verify a picture can be viewed on the appropriate monitor and that the audio can be heard through the speaker/headphone system. -

SECTION III – OPERATION General Information The DVD-401-01-x can be operated via front panel buttons or optionally controlled by infrared remote or AI’s touch screen panel. Digital codes allow the unit to interface with an infrared handheld remote via an infrared receiver, IFR-9A or IFR-485. -

FRONT PANEL CONTROLS ILLUSTRATION OF DVD-401-01-x FRONT PANEL The names and functions of the DVD-401-01-x are as follows: Eject button – Press to eject a disc from the disc tray or to load a disc. Play button – From Main Menu, pressing PLAY selects the highlighted choice. -

Audio International, Inc. DVD-401-01-x Installation & Operation Manual Basic Playback To play a disc, press the EJECT button on the front panel. Gently pull out the disc tray. Place the desired disc on the disc tray with the playback side down. Ensure that the disc is placed on the center snap and clicks into position.
