    1. GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 Intended Use the emfit safebed™ bed and seat occupancy Monitor (device model d-1070-2G and sensor model l-4060sl or l-3030sl) is intended to be used for a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia, for notifying the caregiver in the event that the person has left the bed or seat or has not returned to it within a predefined time.

    Never place the sensor right below the blanket or in direct contact with the person. the emfit bed sensor is designed to withstand 2 years of use below a foam mattress, against a hard bed bottom. the manufacturer recommends replacing the bed sensor after 2 years of use.
