Wireless WAN

Please note, that the Wireless WAN feature is dependant on the model
you purchased.
Depending on the model you purchased your TOSHIBA Notebook PC
comes with an installed Wireless WAN (wide area network) device.
This device gives you the ability for a high-speed connection to the Internet,
corporate intranet, and your email while you are away from the office.
Depending on the model you purchased, a SIM card and operation
software may be pre-installed. Please check your accessory box for
accompanying materials that were provided by the SIM card operator.
If your computer came without a SIM card installed, the Ericsson Wireless
Manager software has been pre-installed for you to operate any SIM card
that can be purchased from an electrical/communication store. If Ericsson
Wireless Manager is not pre-installed, use the Connection Manager (Dash
board) bundled or provided by carrier.
Using your computer aboard an aircraft
Present aviation agency regulations and airline policies typically
require that you turn off your computer, disable Wireless
communication in BIOS setup, and turn off any wireless devices,
before boarding an aircraft.
While it is foreseeable that during certain non-critical phases of your
flight, certain computer and/or wireless technologies might be
permitted for use on board an aircraft, use of wireless WAN
communication is normally prohibited. Since this computer is equipped
with the wireless WAN feature, please be sure to disable Wireless
communication in BIOS setup even if use of wireless LAN and/or
Bluetooth™ is permitted. For this computer model, Wireless
communication in BIOS setup controls all wireless communications
and wireless LAN and/or Bluetooth™ cannot be selectively turned on
without also turning on wireless WAN. If the Wireless communication is
enabled in BIOS setup, wireless WAN radio waves may be transmitted.
Unapproved use of computer and/or wireless communication might
interfere with navigation and aircraft communication systems, possibly
causing serious injury.
