locked

caused
by
badly
worn
gears

and If the defect

be
remedIed
by plaCIng
the gear shIft lever

fourth
speed

rockIng
the
car
back
and forth
to
free the gears If thIS trouble

frequently repeated

starter

the gears should be
replaced

to
the
screw
gUIde
on the pInIOn shaft
beIng dIrty
and
not allOWIng
the pImon
to
advance
smoothly
and causIng Improper
meshIng
the shaft should be cleaned and OIled

wear on
both parts
