    SMART-SCHALTER Der Smart-Schalter gewährleistet, daß der Motor automatisch in den Leerlauf schaltet, wenn ein elektrisches Gerät abgekoppelt wird, und daß der Motor wieder auf die entsprechende Geschwindigkeit hochläuft, wenn ein elektrisches Gerät angeschlossen wird. Der Smart-Schalter gewährleistet einen geringen Benzinverbrauch. Zu beachten: Der Smart-Schalter funktioniert nicht effektiv, wenn das elektrische Gerät in ■...
  • Page 7 - Den Ölstand überprüfen, indem Sie den Peilstab in die Einfüllöffnung stecken (nicht festschrauben). - Wenn der Ölstand nicht an das untere Ende des Peilstabs heranreicht, mit dem empfohlenen Öl bis zur Oberseite der Öleinfüllöffnung nachfüllen. Den Ölstand regelmäßig überprüfen, denn, wenn der Motor mit unzureichender Ölfüllung betrieben wird, kann er ernsthaft beschädigt werden.

    4. ANLASSEN DES MOTORS Bevor Sie den Motor anlassen, immer zunächst die Ladung vom DC-Terminal abkoppeln. 1. Die Entlüftungsschraube des Kraftstoffbehälterverschlusses im Uhrzeiger- sinn in die Stellung ON drehen. 2. Den Schalter des Motors in die Position ON schalten. 3. Den Choke in die Stellung CLOSED drehen.
  • Page 10 ZU BEACHTEN Den Choke nicht bei heißem Motor oder bei einer hohen Lufttemperatur verwenden. 4. Am Starterkabel ziehen bis Sie einen Widerstand spüren, anschließend das Starterkabel kräftig in Richtung des Pfeils (siehe Zeichnung) ziehen. VORSICHT Das Starterkabel nicht zurückspringen lassen, sondern mit der Hand langsam zurückführen.

    Funktion in großer Höhe In großer Höhe wird das standardmäßige Luft-Kraftstoff-Gemisch im Vergaser extrem reich sein. Die Funktion wird abnehmen und der Kraftstoffverbrauch wird zunehmen. Die Funktion in großer Höhe läßt sich durch Einbau einer schmaleren Kraftstoffzufuhr in den Vergaser und Neueinstellung der Pilot-Schrauben verbessern.

  • Page 13 Die Anzeige (grün) der Ausgangsleistung wird während Normalbetrieb leuchten. Wird der Generator überlastet (über 1,0 kVA) bzw. bei Ausfall des angeschlossenen Geräts erlischt die Anzeige (grün), die Anzeige (rot) für Überlastung leuchtet auf und der Strom zum angeschlossenen Gerät wird abgeschaltet.
  • Page 14 Den Motor anlassen, siehe "Anlassen des Motors". Leuchtet die grüne Anzeige nicht auf, wohl aber die rote Anzeige, den Motor sofort abstellen und einen Neustart durchführen. 3. Überprüfen, ob das einzusetzende Gerät ausgeschaltet ist und den Stecker dieses Geräts in die AC-Steckdose der Einheit A oder Einheit B stecken. VORSICHT Überprüfen, ob das anzuschließende Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.
  • Page 15 VORSICHT Wenn ein Elektromotor gestartet wird, leuchten beide Anzeigen (rot und ■ grün) gleichzeitig auf. Das ist normal, sofern die rote Anzeige nach ca. vier (4) Sekunden wieder erlischt. Leuchtet die rote Anzeige weiterhin, den Kundendienst anrufen. Die DC-Steckdose darf ausschließlich für die Ladung von 12V-Batterien des Typs Automotive benutzt werden.

Bevor das Ölniveau unter die Sicherheitsgrenze sinkt, wird das Ölüberwachungssystem automatisch den Motor ausschalten (der Motorschalter bleibt weiterhin auf ON stehen). 6. STOPPEN DES MOTORS...

    Um den Motor in einem Notfall zu stoppen, den Motorschalter auf OFF schalten. BEI NORMALEM BETRIEB: 1. Die angeschlossenen Geräte ausschalten und den Stecker ziehen. 2. Den Motorschalter auf OFF drücken. 3. Die Entlüftung am Kraftstoffbehälterverschluß im Gegenuhrzeigersinn in die Stellung OFF drehen.

    7. WARTUNG Regelmäßige Wartung begünstigt den Wirksamkeitsgrad und ist ebenfalls die Erhaltung Ihrer Maschine. Um eine möglichste lange Nutzungsdauer des Generators zu bewirken, empfehlen wir Ihnen, nachstehende Wartungsvor- schriften sorgfältig zu befolgen.   • Page 20 1. ÖLWECHSEL Das Öl ablassen, wenn der Motor noch heiß ist, damit es schnell und vollständig abgelassen wird. VORSICHT: Überprüfen, ob der Schutzschalter und die Entlüftung am Kraftstoffbehälterverschluß auf OFF stehen bevor Sie Öl ablassen. 1.   • Page 21 ZU BEACHTEN Altöl immer gemäß den gesetzlichen Vorschriften entsorgen. Altöl absolut ■ niemals in die Kanalisation oder in den Boden einleiten! 2. LUFTFILTER Ein verschmutztes Luftfilter wird den Luftstrom zum Vergaser beschränken. Um zu vermeiden, daß der Vergaser anfängt, schlecht zu funktionieren, ist das Luftfilter regelmäßig zu reinigen.
  • Page 22 ZÜNDKERZE EMPFOHLENE ZÜNDKERZE: 75020: CR5HSB - U16FSR-UB, 75022: A7RTC, 75025: A7RC, 75036: R6-388. Für ein gutes Funktionieren des Motors muß die Elektrodeneinstellung gut und muß die Zündkerze sauber sein. 1. Die Schutzhaube der Zündkerze entfernen. 2. Den Zündkerzenstecker entfernen. 3. Die Zündkerzenbasis von Schmutz säubern.

    3. Mit einer Bürste den Kohlenstaub des Funkenfangs entfernen. Auf Löcher überprüfen und erforderlichenfalls austauschen. 4. Den Schalldämpfer überprüfen und ihn austauschen, wenn er beschädigt ist. Die Dichtung des Schalldämpfers einbauen, den Funkenfang/Schalldämpfer und die Schutzhaube des Schalldämpfers in umgekehrter Reihenfolge des Ausbaus wieder montieren.
  • Page 25 Stellen Sie sicher, daß der Generator keiner direkten Sonneneinstrahlung ■ ausgesetzt ist, wenn Sie ihn auf ein Fahrzeug laden. Wenn der Generator während einiger Stunden in einem abgeschlossenen Fahrzeug zurückge- lassen wird, wird durch die hohe Temperatur im Fahrzeug das Benzin verdampfen, was zu einer Explosion führen kann.

Den Motor einige Male runddrehen, um das Öl zu verteilen und die Zündkerze wieder montieren. 5. Langsam am Starterkabel ziehen, bis Sie einen Widerstand spüren. Note: generators 75020, 75021 and 75022 have 1 wall socket and generators 75025 an 75036 have 2 wall sockets 1.     SMART THROTTLE Engine speed is kept at idle automatically when the electrical appliance is disconnected and it returns to the proper speed to power of the electrical load when electrical appliance is connected. This position is recommended to minimize the fuel consumption while in operation. Note: Smart throttle system does not operate effectively if the electrical appliance ■...

  • Page 35 3. Check the air cleaner Check the air cleaner element to be sure it is clean and in good condition. Loosen the cover screw and remove the left side maintenance cover. Press the latch tab on the top of the air cleaner body, remove the air cleaner cover, check the element.

    4.STARTING THE ENGINE Before starting the engine, disconnect the load from the DC terminals. 1. Turn the fuel cap lever fully clockwise to the ON position. 2. Turn the engine switch to the ON position. 3. Move the choke lever to the CLOSED position.
  • Page 37 NOTE Do not use the choke when the engine is warm or the air temperature is high. 4. Pull the starter grip until resistence is felt, then pull the starter grip briskly toward the arrow as shown below. CAUTION Do not allow the starter grip to snap back. Return it slowly by hand. 5.

    High altitude operation At high altitude, the standard carburetor air-fuel mixture will be excessively rich. Performance will decrease, and fuel consumption will increase. High altitude performance can be improved by installing a smaller diameter main fuel jet in the carburetor and readjusting the pilot screws. If you always operate the generator at altitudes higher than 1,500 m (5,000 feel) above sea level, have your authorized dealer perform these carburetor modifications.
  • Page 39 Keep the generator away from other electric cables or wires such as ■ commercial power supply lines. NOTE: The DC receptacle can be used while the AC power is in use. If you use both ■ at the same time, be sure not to exceed the total power for AC and DC. Most appliance motors require more than their rated wattage for start-up.

  • Page 41 Confirm that the use equipment to be connected is switched off. ■ When the equipment to be used is switched on, it will operate suddenly, and ■ injuries or accidents may be caused. 4.Switch on the equipment to be used. In case of overload operation or when trouble occurs for the equipment being used, the output indicator light (green) will go out, the overload indicator light (red) will light continuously, and no power will be put out.

  • Page 44 Oil alert system The oil alert system is designed to prevent engine damage caused by an insufficient amount of oil in the crankcase. Before the oil level in the crankcase falls below a safe limit, the oil alert system will automatically shut down the engine (the engine switch will remain in the ON position).

    6. STOPPING THE ENGINE To stop the engine in an emergency, turn the engine switch to the OFF position. IN NORMAL USE: 1. Switch off the connected equipment and pull the inserted plug. 2. Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
  • Page 46 3. Turn the cap lever fully counterclockwise to the “OFF” position. CAUTION Be sure the fuel cap lever and the engine switch are “OFF” when stopping, transporting and/or storing the generator.

    7. MAINTENANCE The purpose of the maintenance and adjustment schedule is to keep the generator in the best operating condition. WARNING Shut off the engine before performing any maintenance. If the engine must ■ be run, make sure the area is well ventilated. The exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas.

  • Page 50 3. SPARK PLUG SERVICE RECOMMENTDED SPARK PLUG: 75020: CR5HSB - U16FSR-UB, 75022: A7RTC, 75025: A7RC, 75036: R6-388. To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug must be properly gapped and free of deposits. 1.Remove the spark plug maintenance cover. 2. Remove the spark plug cap.
  • Page 51 The gap should be 0.6-0.7 mm (0.024-0.028in). Correct as necessary by carefully bending the side electrode. 7.lnstall the spark plug carefully, by hand, to avoid cross-threading. 8.After a new spark plug has been seated by hand, it should be tightened 1/2 turn with a wrench to compress its washer.

    2. Remove the 6 mm bolts and remove the muffler, the spark arrester and the muffler gasket. 3. Use a brush to remove carbon deposits from the spark arrester screen. Inspect the screen for holes and replace it if necessary. 4.
