    ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR MITRE SAWS Ensure that the lighting is adequate. Do not use the saw unless the guards are in place. Do not use the saw to cut metal or masonry. Keep the area free of tripping hazards. Do not let anyone under 18 years of age operate this saw.

    DUST BAG The dust bag (15) fits in the dust extractor port. For efficient operation, empty the dust bag when it is no more than half full. This allows better air flow through the bag. Setting the Table Square with the Blade Make sure that the electrified plug is removed from the power point.

    Switch on the laser lights with the on/off switch (2) The laser is factory set to emit a laser line along the middle of the blade. It cannot be adjusted by the user.     NORMAL CUTTING OPERATION Connect the plug to the power point. Switch on the laser light on/off switch (2). Clamp the work piece in position using the laser line to align the blade with the pencil mark on the work piece and switch on the motor.

    Use the clamp assembly (10) to secure the work piece wherever possible. It is possible to remove the clamp assembly (10) by loosening the clamp assembly lock (11) and moving it to the other side of the table. Make sure the clamp assembly lock is tight before using the clamp.

    CHANGING A BLADE DANGER! Never try to use a blade larger than the stated capacity of the saw. It might come into contact with the blade guards. Never use a blade that is too thick, this will cause the outer blade washer to engage with the flats on the spindle. This prevents the blade screw from properly securing the blade on the spindle.
