Your motor home is equipped with an automatic transmis-
sion. Please note that this transmission does not provide a
PARK position. You MUST set the parking brake whenever
you park the motor home.
Up- and down-shifting is automatic under most driving
conditions. You may manually shift the transmission under
marginal or poor traction conditions, up andlor downhill or
mountain driving, or under any driving condition to maintain
complete vehicle control.
Your chassis is equipped with an MT Series transmission.
The T-handle push-button shift selector has a push button
that must be depressed to shift gears.
It is not necessary to select the right moment to upshift or
downshift during the changing road and traffic conditions.
The transmission does it for you. However, knowledge of the
gear ranges and when to select them will make vehicle con-
trol and your job even easier.
(R) (Reverse) The vehicle must be completely stopped
before shifting from Forward to Reverse or from Reverse to
Forward.
(N) (Neutral) Neutral is used to start the engine, check
vehicle accessories, and for extended periods of engine idle
operation. If the engine starts in any other selected gear, the
start circuit should be serviced immediately.
