10/100 FIBER MEDIA CONVERTER
Introduction
The MC722ST‐XX auto‐negotiating fast Ethernet media converter set is designed to translates between 10/100Base‐TX copper and
100Base‐FX fast Ethernet fiber cabling. The media converter enables you to extend the distance of your 10/100 Ethernet network
up to 100km (XX in the part number will indicate max distance).
The Converters are equipped with [1] duplex SC fiber connector to transmit data over two fibers.
Six LED indicators are built in for easy monitoring and system diagnostics for power, fiber and UTP, link and activity.

Installing the MC722ST‐XX Fiber Media Converters
Refer to the above diagram when installing. Use best industry practices and follow all local building codes.
1) Connect a network patch cable from the network equipment's Ethernet s to the receiver.
2) Connect a Single Mode fiber cable between the transmitter and the receiver using SC fiber connectors.
3) Connect a network patch cable from the transmitter's Ethernet jack to the remote IP device (IP camera in this example).
4) Connect the supplied power transformers to the transmitter and receiver.
