ATTACHING AND REMOVING THE LENS

Attaching the Lens
• Do not insert the lens at an angle.
• Do not press the lens release when attaching the lens.

1. Remove the body cap.
2. Remove the rear lens cap.
3. Align the red mounting
dots on the lens and
camera body.
4. Gently insert the lens into
the mount, then turn
clockwise until it clicks
into the locked position.
Removing the Lens
Lens Hood Note
Attach a lens hood (page 74) to reduce flare and ensure
maximum image quality. Flare reduces the contrast of the
final image.
Caution
• Do not force the lens if it does not turn smoothly.
• Do not touch the inside of the camera, especially the lens
contacts and mirror.
• Remove dust and dirt from the lens mount before attaching or
removing a lens.
1. Press the lens release
and turn the lens counter-
clockwise until it stops.
2. Gently remove the lens
from the mount and
replace the caps, or
attach another lens.
