Use exposure compensation when photographing very bright, very dark, or high-contrast subjects.
- Scenes that are mostly sky: +

- Spotlit subjects
(particularly if photographed against;
dark backgrounds): -213 EV ;
- Subjects with low reflectivity
(pine trees or dark-col-
ored foliage):

tings other than ±O. Exposure compensation is not
reset when the camera is turned off; to restore normal
exposure control, choose a value of ±O.
