Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Press and hold the power button while the computer is unplugged to ground the system board.

    Installing the Hard Drive Replace the hard drive into the hard-drive bracket. Install the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket. Install the hard drive into its slot in the computer.
