Welcome Hello and thanks for buying a 'Stereoping Synth Controller'. We will use 'SSC' as an abbreviation for 'Stereoping Synth Controller' in this manual. If you purchased a DIY- assembly kit and are looking for the building instruction ... this is the operation manual for the finished Controller.

The most recent firmware files can be downloaded from our homepage www.stereoping.com -> Products -> Synth Controller -> Downloads Your hardware of the SSC is compatible to all other SSC synthesizer editions. If you own more than one synths supported by the SSC, you can safely dump firmware files of other editions into it and play around with them.

For reacting to parameter changes over Midi the Matrix-6 must be in "Quick Edit"- Mode (Patch Edit / Quick). To make things easier, the Synth Controller causes the Matrix-6 to jump into that mode automatically when you press any of it's 3 buttons. So...

Matrix to seem dead for over a second. We slowed down these parameters in the Synth Controller intentionally by sending it to the synth in larger time delays. The advantage is, your matrix has less blackouts and responds much better to further changes or incoming notes.
