An erroneous measurement reading can occur if both leads

Under this condition, the meter may mdicate approximately mid scale on any meter
range selected. You can verify i! the measurement readmg 1s correct by checking if
the resistance measurement at two different ranges differ by more than 50 % of the
indicated value.
