Configuring wireless connections

If you have implemented wireless PC communication via the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl,
you should improve the security of your wireless network via the Advanced Settings –
Wireless Network menu. You can carry out the following functions:
Wireless Network
WPS Registration
Encryption &
Authentication
Allowed Clients
Repeater (WDS)

In the Advanced Settings menu, select: Wireless Network
ì
Select On for the Wireless Network (default setting).
Devices can only log in wirelessly if the WLAN module of the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl
is activated.
You can now make the settings for the wireless network.
Activate the wireless module of the Gigaset SX763 WLAN
dsl and specify basic settings for your wireless network, for
example SSID, Transmission mode or Sending power.
Start WPS registration and configure WPS (see page 90).
Set up Encryption for wireless transmissions (page 90).
Restrict access to the LAN of the Gigaset SX763 WLAN dsl
(page 98).
Activate the repeater function (Wireless Distribution
System, WDS) and define repeaters to increase the range of
your WLAN (see page 99).
