General Operating Instructions
Pay attention to the following when steam cleaning:
To avoid damaging the surfaces cleaned and other objects you should first test the reaction
to the steam on an inconspicuous spot.
After drying the treated location you can assess the reaction before proceeding to clean a larger
area.
Never aim the steam jet directly at sensitive sites or materials (e.g. veneered woods, furniture
or wall paper, unless you want to strip the furniture or remove the wall paper).
Steam is just water once it cools! Never work on electrical devices or other objects that are
sensitive to moisture.
You are working at very high temperatures when you steam clean.
Do not work on or next to heat-sensitive materials
OUR RECOMMENDATION:
If you are not certain that the desired material can be cleaned with steam, test an
inconspicuous location first and check the effects on the material after it dries.
The important this is the duration of contact between the material and steam. Generally,
the rule with heat-sensitive materials is: The faster you work the more limited the possible
reaction.
Always attach the accessories to the handle before you activate the steam (danger of scalding)
Never set the iron aside unsupervised (very hot)
Never use the stainless steel or brass sponge on wood, plastics or other sensitive materials. .
In the case of wooden windows never steam directly on the wood
Never set the brush directly on wood furniture, but steam from a distance of 20 cm instead.
On a carpet with spots this can cause a colour change (some brighter spotting)
Do not steam on electrical control elements (ceramic stove top with integrated control
elements, electrical sockets or light switches )
General: Use caution with silicone
Humidifier: essential oils can cause allergic reactions
