    Outlet Grounging The 3M Scotch-Weld Hot Melt Applicator EC is intended for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit with a grounding plug as shown in the figure above. Make sure the applicator is connected to an outlet with the same configuration as the plug.

    1. Turn the applicator off by pressing the rocker switch at the rear of the handle. The red visor on the rocker switch disappears, indicating the applicator is off (see Figure M).     If, after following these procedures, a problem still exists, contact your local Sales Representative. For telephone numbers of the nearest 3M location refer to the back cover of this manual. Important: Service on this applicator should only be performed by a qualified electrician or service person.
