Check brake pads for wear and replace them following the instructions in the sched-
uled maintenance tables.
Disc brake pad wear depends on the use, the riding style and the roads.
Riding your vehicle on dirty or wet streets accelerates wear.
CAUTION
CHECK BRAKE PADS FOR WEAR MAINLY BEFORE EACH RIDE.
To carry out a quick pad check:

Park the vehicle on its centre stand.
•
Remove the brake calliper cover «1».
•
Carry out a visual inspection of brake disc and pads.
CAUTION
EXCESSIVE WEAR OF THE FRICTION MATERIAL MAKES THE PAD METAL
SUPPORT GET INTO CONTACT WITH THE DISC, WHICH RESULTS IN A MET-
ALLIC NOISE AND SPARKS IN THE CALLIPER; THEREFORE, BRAKING EFFI-
CIENCY AND DISC SAFETY AND INTEGRITY ARE AT RISK.
