Before
you attach water supply
hoses, run o lrnle water from the
faucets This gets rid of any
poflicles that might clog
the hoses
Use the new hoses and washers that
came with Your WhIrlpool washer.
Now place a flat washer Into each end
of the Inlet hoses (Check to make sure
washers ore firmly seated I" couplings )
Attach hoses to faucets Tighten
couplings by hand, then make a fInal
two-thrrds turn with the pliers
Inlets ore plastic, so
do not strip them

Afiach Tne hose from the
'.a H hot water faucet to the
boftom Inlet valve opening (marked
Ii"] on the washer The cold water hose
attaches to the lop inlet valve opening
[marked "C"] TIghten couplings
by hand. then make on additional
two-thirds turr wrth pllers

Install the literature rack by inserkng
the tabs (2 on each side and 2 on the
bottom) Into the back of the washer
console Gently push rn and down until
all tabs lock in place

of the washer Put the shrpprng strap rn

have not completed a step. go back

With the washer cycle control knob

faucets and check for leaks TIghten
couplrngs if necessary

Make sure your washer IS level Take a
carpenter's level and place It on top of
the washer, and check it frrst side to
side, then front to back
If It IS not level, screw the front legs of the
washer up or down to adlust
Tilt the washer forward to raise the back
legs off the floor about an Inch Gently
let It bock down This lets the back legs
self-adjust Make frnal check wrth the
level Then trghten nuts on front legs up
agolnst washer base using the wrench
If nuts are not tight agalnsf the washer
base, the washer may vibrate

Check to see If you have removed the
shIppIng strap from the washer [see step
121 If you don't remove the shrpplng
strap, your washer may "walk" away
from Its location.

Check to see that

removed from the washer basket rn step
