QS.4.3 Configuring the switch ports for UR redundant operation
MULTILINK ML1600/2400 ETHERNET COMMUNICATIONS SWITCH – QUICKSTART GUIDE
Left mouse click on the Login pushbutton to attempt to log in.
If you have successfully logged in you will be presented with a graphic of the particular
Multilink switch to which you are connected.
The universal relay offers a redundant port option once the link loss alert feature is enabled
on the associated port, the relay will be able to detect a failure of the link, alarm, and
switch to the alternate port. The following procedure should be used to enable Link Loss
Alert on each of the the ports used in the redundant configuration.
Note the names of all switch ports that will require the Link Loss
Alert feature to be enabled.
In our example the port named A1 is one of the ports that will be
used in a redundant configuration, so the Link Loss Alert feature
must be enabled on this port.
