CONTROL LOCK LIGHT REMAINS ON AND UNIT WILL NOT LOCK DOOR UPON ATTEMPTING TO BEGIN CYCLE AND GO INTO OPERATING MODE

The control lock light remains on because the Control Lock feature is activated. When this feature is on, the dishwasher controls are locked, preventing operation. Additionally, the KitchenAid KUDI01DL unit does not lock the door when starting a cycle because the door latch mechanism is separate from the control lock function.

To disable the Control Lock and allow normal operation:
1. Press and hold the ENERGY SAVER™ Dry System control for 4 seconds until the Control Lock light turns off.
2. Ensure the door is firmly closed and latched.
3. Restart the cycle as needed.
