CD information

Always keep the CD in its case and only hold it by the
edges. The shiny, rainbow-coloured surface must not be
touched and should always be clean. Do not stick any
paper or tape to the label side of the disc. The CD should
be protected from strong sunlight and sources of heat,
such as radiators.
A CD should not be left in a car that is parked in direct
sunlight, as the internal temperature of the car can
24
become very hot. Clean any fingerprints and dust on the
recorded side using a clean, dry cloth.
When cleaning CDs do not use any record care
products, such as record sprays, cleaning fluids,
antistatic sprays or any solvents, e.g. petrol, thinners or
other commercially available chemicals. It may be
possible to remove stubborn stains by using a damp
chamois.
Wipe from the centre of the disc to the edge.
Circular motions when cleaning cause scratches. This
can result in malfunctions during playback.
