Motion Sensor

PLACE PREPROGRAMMED MOTION SENSOR
Remove the front cover of the Motion Sensor by pressing the tab at
the bottom with your finger or a pen and pull out the battery tab
NOTE: WHEN THE BATTERY TAB IS PULLED, YOU WILL SEE THE RED
LIGHT GO ON. WHEN THE RED LIGHT GOES OUT, THE MOTION SENSOR
WILL STILL BE WORKING
Distinguish the top of the Motion Sensor from the bottom (See Figure A)

NOTE: IF YOUR SENSOR IS PLACED UPSIDE DOWN IT WILL NOT WORK
Decide where to put the Motion Sensor in your home

NOTE: AVOID AREAS THAT COULD TRIGGER FALSE ALARMS SUCH AS
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS, HEAT, FANS, OR DIRECT SUNLIGHT. THE
RECOMMENDED MOUNTING HEIGHT IS 7.5 FEET
Clean the area where you have chosen to place your sensor to ensure the
tape holds firmly to the wall

Apply the adhesive tape to the back of the Motion Sensor
Double check to make sure your sensor is the correct orientation (not

upside-down), then place the Motion Sensor on the wall
TO ADD ADDITIONAL MOTION SENSORS
Remove the front cover of the Motion Sensor by pressing the tab at the
bottom with your finger or a pen. Pull out the battery tab
Press MENU on the Console
Scroll to Security Setup, press SELECT

Enter Master Code*
Scroll to Sensors, press SELECT
Scroll to <Add New>, press SELECT

Scroll to Motion, press SELECT
Follow the instructions displayed on the Console:

• The Console will display "Preparing to Add" and will
start a 5-second countdown
• Once the countdown is complete the Console will read
"Insert Battery"; insert the battery into the Motion Sensor.
You will have 30 seconds to complete this step
When the Motion Sensor has successfully been added you will hear a

confirmation beep
• If there is no confirmation beep, remove the battery from the Motion
Sensor, then re-insert the battery
Once the Motion Sensor has been added to the system use the Edit feature
to rename the device (if desired). Press DELETE to erase text and use the
keypad keys to type the new name. Press OK
Re-attach the front cover of the Motion Sensor and place the motion sensor
in your desired location (See steps A - E)
