Removing and Replacing the Real Time Clock (RTC) Battery

Lift the lens completely away from the flip as shown in Figure 18B.
Do not remove the transparent protective film from the front of the new lens. This
film prevents damage to the lens during service and handling. It is to be removed
only by the end user.

To replace, insert the fingers at the top of the lens into the corresponding recess
on the flip housing and rotate the lens down until the 2 catches snap into place.
7.
Replace the 3 T-4 screws and tighten securely. Do not overtighten.
8.
Replace the antenna, SIM and battery as described in the procedures.

Remove the battery, SIM, antenna, and lens assembly as described in the
procedures.

Using the flat end of the disassembly tool, gently pry the RTC battery from its
socket on the display board. See Figure 19.
Use only non-conductive tools, such as the plastic disassembly tool and the plastic
tweezer, when removing and replacing the RTC battery.
3.
To replace, insert the new RTC battery into its socket on the display board.
The plastic tweezer may be used to replace the RTC battery. Be sure the
