tap mode

This is the standard mode for entering text on your
phone. Regular tap mode cycles through the letters,
numbers, and symbols of the key you press.
1 Press a key once to insert the first letter on the
key, twice for the second letter, and so on. If you
pause briefly, your phone accepts the last letter
displayed and waits for the next entry.
2 Enter the remaining characters in the same way.
