REPLACEMENT OF FOLDING RF/YF PIVOT

instructions.
If the pivot pad (the pads ho1d the RF/VF
hinge l,ins) to be replaced is s.till on the

damaging the camera body.

Drive- out the pivot pad posts if they break
off in the carner" body.

Roughen the pivot pad holts in the camera
body (and the area around the holes which
will
be
covered
by
the
new
pad) using a
Dremel Manufa,.:turing Company hand
grinder (or equivalent l.
To !1revent the new pad from interfering
with the- foclIs bar. cut <lpproximately
Iii bth of an inch off the pos.ts on the new

Roughen the posts using a file.
J. Secure the new l,ivOl pad on the caml.'r.1

NOTE: These adjuslments should be made only
after the lens has been collimated.

Remove the two cover retaining screws and
lift the rover off the RF/VF assembly, Re ­
move the two plate retaining screws and
the
rover plate,
b.
Clamp the camera onto the collimator, move
the focus bar to INFINIlY and aim at the
infinity tube. Observe the infinity target
through the RF!VF eye lens.
