Overview The Kramer VP-461 is a high quality Video Scaler. It accepts one of three inputs: a computer graphics signal on a 15-pin HD connector, an HDMI and a DisplayPort signal. It scales the video, embeds the audio and outputs the signal to the HDMI output, as well as to the PC output together with an unbalanced audio output.

Selecting the Correct Aspect Ratio You can configure the aspect ratio of any output image to fit your application. The VP-461 offers four different aspect ratio settings: Follow Input, Follow Output, Best Fit and Letterbox. Here is how each of these settings works.

The Master Connection (HDMI or PC) is usually set to the main output display so that the optimal resolution for that display can be obtained. By setting the output resolution to Native, the VP-461 is triggered to read the EDID of the main display and change the output resolution value according to the native resolution of the display.
