Never push objects of any kind into the set through the cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.
  • Page 5 An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching such power lines or circuits, as contact with them may be fatal. Always turn the set off when it is not being used.

    Do not place this television near water, for example near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a damp basement etc.. When moving the television to a warm location from a cold location, allow some time for any dew or condensation inside the television to evaporate fully before you turn the unit on.

  • Page 8 The buttons on the lower-right panel control your TVs basic features, including the on-screen menu. To use the televisions more advanced features, you must use the remote control.
  • Page 10 Before turning off the main power, or turning off the power supply, you must switch the television into standby mode by pressing the POWER button on the remote control or on the television set itself. Once the television is in standby mode, you may turn off the mains power supply.
  • Page 11 Notes: One load of batteries should last for 1 year under normal use. • If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of • time, remove the batteries to avoid damage due to leakage. Do not mix old and new batteries together.
  • Page 12 These instructions are assuming you have already connected your TV to an antenna or other cable TV system. Skip step 1 if you have not yet connected an antenna. Follow the instructions in Viewing a VCR or Camcorder Tape to view your VCR tape.

    The rear panel jacks on your TV makes it easy to connect a camcorder to your TV. They allow you to view the recordings without using a VCR player. Each camcorder has a different back panel configuration, so when connecting a camcorder, match the colour of the connection terminal to the cable.

  • Page 15 This connection can only be made if there is a DVI output connector on the external device. HDMI, or high-definition multimedia interface, is a next-generation interface that enables the transmission of digital audio and video signals using a single cable without compression.
  • Page 16 The read panel jacks on the TV make it easy to connect a Digital Audio System to your TV. 5.1 CH audio is possible when the TV is connected to an external device that supports 5.1 CH sound. Connect a coaxial cable between the SPDIF jacks on the TV and the Digital Audio Input jacks on the Digital Audio System.
  • Page 17 Each PC has a different back panel configuration. The HDMI jacks do not support a PC connection. 1. Connect a D-Sub Cable between the VGA/PC IN connector on the TV and the PC output connector on your computer. 2. Connect a PC Audio Cable between the PC AUDIO IN jack on the TV and the Audio Out jack on the soundcard on your computer.

    1. Insert the power cord into a power outlet. 2. If the TV is in standby mode, press the POWER button on the remote control or on the bottom panel of the TV. 3. Normal pictures will appear on the screen after about 15 seconds. If there is no signal input, then “NO SIGNAL”...

  • Page 27 There are two methods to select the input source. Press INPUT key on the remote control to enter "INPUT SOURCE" menu.   • Page 32 If the disk for PVR is ready, the programs can be recorded in DTV mode. In DTV mode, press / ► button to pause the DTV program, then press it again to continue playing. The length of time a program can be paused depends upon the setting in the PVR File System.
