B. FAN (
) Function
Your Emerson fan operates at six different
fan speeds (from low to high). When the
Fan On/Off button (See Figure 17) is
pressed for the first time, the fan will turn
on to high speed and the fan symbol will
light on the LCD panel. When the Fan
On/Off button is pressed again, the fan will
turn off.
To change the fan speed and airflow
direction, proceed as follows:
Press the Select button to change to fan
operation. The Fan symbol will glow on the
LCD panel and both the up and down light
symbols indicators will be off.
Once you have selected fan operation,
use the Up/Down arrow buttons to
increase the fan speed or decrease the
fan speed. (Each time the Up arrow button
is pushed the fan speed will increase by
one speed; each time the Down arrow
button is pushed the fan speed will
decrease by one speed). The bars on the
LCD panel next to the fan symbol will
either increase or decrease based on the
Up/Down arrow button pushed.
The receiver will always remember the last
speed setting of the fan when the Fan
On/Off button is pressed to turn the fan
back on. It will return to its pre-set level.
Press the Airflow button to reverse the
direction of the fan.
The Air UP or Air DN symbols will be lit on
the LCD panel indicating which direction
the fan is running. When the fan is
spinning counter clockwise the fan is in
"Summer" operation and when the fan is
spinning clockwise the fan is in "Winter"
operation.
C. SLEEP Function
Pressing the Sleep button will decrease
the fan speed by one speed every 60
minutes until the fan reaches its lowest
setting. The Sleep icon will be seen on the
LCD panel indicating Sleep mode. If the
fan is already on then it will decrease from
its current setting. If the fan is off, it will
start from fan setting "3" (medium) and
decrease from there.
Once the Sleep function is activated, the
fan speed can be increased or lowered
using the Up/Down Arrow buttons without
disabling the Sleep function. The fan will
continue to decrease by one speed every
60 minutes until the fan is on low speed.

To cancel the Sleep function, press the
Fan On/Off button to turn the fan off.
D. WINTER Mode
When the Winter button is pressed the fan
will go in the clockwise direction and run at
low speed. The Winter icon will be lit on
the LCD display. Every ten minutes the fan
will turn up to high speed for three
seconds and then return to low speed.
This helps push warm air down from the
ceiling to reduce heating costs.
The lights can be turned on or off or
changed at any time without canceling the
winter function.
To cancel the Winter function, press the
Fan On/Off button
E. SECURITY Function
When the Security button is pressed the
lights will flash once and then come to full
brightness. The Security icon will be
displayed on the LCD panel. The lights will
remain on for a random period between 8
and 63 minutes. At that time the lights will
turn off for a period between 8 and 63
minutes. This process will repeat itself
indefinitely.
To cancel the Security function, press the
Light On/Off button.
