To remove the spool from a Ryobi RLT5030SG after steel wire has wrapped around it:

1. Switch off and disconnect the trimmer from the mains power supply.
2. Press in both spool cover lock buttons (item 18).
3. Remove the spool cover.
4. Carefully lift out the spool to remove the wire.

Make sure the machine is unplugged before performing any maintenance.

The speed of the Ryobi RLT5030SG may slow down when the cutting line is worn or broken. When this happens, the engine runs faster than normal, signaling the need to advance the line to maintain optimal cutting performance.
