Each of these functions is described in detail, with sample menus and screen shots provided for reference.
4.2
Viewing Live Video
The System4 Server Configuration software automatically opens to the Monitor page, your window to the live video
displayed by each camera.
The Monitor page contains one or more video windows, with buttons for individual camera inputs listed along the
right side. Buttons for inputs with active camera connections contain a black number; buttons for unused or inactive
inputs are grayed out. To display the name of the cameras in the video windows, click OSD on the Main tab (as seen
in the following).
Variable speed Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) control is available. Movement is possible by two different methods for the
camera that is selected (framed in white) on the Monitor page.
• The first method is to select the multidirectional arrow in the center of the PTZ tab on the Monitor page by
clicking on the left mouse button, holding the button down, and moving the multidirectional arrow in the direction
you want the camera to move. As you get closer to the edge of the Pan and Tilt field, the camera will move faster.
• The second method is to click the directional arrows on the PTZ tab of the Monitor page. The camera will move
in increments at the speed set in the Setup tab of the Monitor page (e.g. Slowest or Fastest). Once again, the
closer you get to the edge, the faster the camera will move.
