I Auto cue function

At the beginning
of each track on most discs, a silent interval of
about one second is recorded.
Therefore,
when play is started
from 0 minute 00 second,
music is not heard immediately.
When the auto cue function
is activated,
the unit automatically
detects
the beginning
of the music on each track
and then
switches
to the standby
mode.
When play is started from this point (by pressing the play button),
music is heard immediately.

Press the auto
cue button
(I-=).
The auto cue indicator
above

and the

indicator
on the display
panel illuminate.

Press the play
button.

and the
unit swtches
to the standby
mode.

Press the play button
again.
Play begins
immediately.
The-indicator
goes out.
In this mode, the unit switches
to standby
at the beginning
of
each track. It is therefore
necessary
to press the play button to
resume
play at the beginning
of every
track.

n Press the auto cue button
again

Notes:
*If the auto cue button is pressed
during play. this function
is
activated
at the beginning
of the next track.
*The
auto-cue
function
may not work properly
if a selection
begins with a very soft passage or if there is a lot of background

Pitch control
This function
allows
fine adjustment
of pitch (up to approx.
28%).

Press the pitch
control
button
"on".
The pitch control
indicator
illuminates.

Slide
the
pitch
control
knob
upward
or
downward
to the desired
setting.
In the center position
(D), a "click"
can be perceived.
This
position
is the 0% standard
pitch.
Notes:
*When
the
pitch
has been
changed,
the
elapsed
or
remaining
playing
time readings
differ
from the actual
times by the amount
of pitch adjustment.
elf this unit is connected
to a dedicated
D/A converter
or a
digital
amplifier
equipped
with a built-in
D/A converter
using the digital output terminal.
setting the pitch control
switch to the ON position to enable pitch control can cause
the output to become
inaudible
with certain digital equip-
ment.
Please
check to make sure that normal audio output is
obtained.
To cancel the pitch control
function
H Press the pitch
control
button
again.
