TROUBLESHOOTING
If your turntable is not working as it should, these suggestions might help you solve
the problem. If the turntable still does not operate properly, take it to your local
electronic store for assistance.
Symptom
Turntable does not work
when plugged into an AC
outlet
No sound
Possible Cause
Connected receiver/
amplifier not turned on.
Rubber drive belt slipped,
broken, or not mounted
properly.
Power problem.
Receiver/amplifier vol-
ume set to minimum.
Turntable not connected
correctly to receiver/ampli-
fier.
LINE OUT ON/PHONO OUT
is set to
OFF
PHONO OUT
and turntable is con-
OFF
nected to receiver's/ampli-
fier's line-level input jacks.
Stylus needs replacing.
Suggestion
Turn on receiver/
amplifier.
Check rubber drive belt.
Check the power cord and
AC outlet.
Adjust receiver/amplifier
volume.
Recheck connections.
Set
LINE OUT ON/PHONO
to
OUT OFF
LINE OUT ON
Replace the stylus
(See "Cleaning/Replacing
the Stylus" on Page 13).
