9.7.1

Disassembly of legrests

The following steps apply to both legrests!
• Detach calf straps from insertion tubes (8).
• Hold footplate (11) by its left side and fold upward until it is released from the left insertion
tube (8).
• Release legrest lock and lift legrest from the hinge bolt at the vehicle.
• Loosen wing nut (10) and pull off footplate attachment (22) with width compensation (17)
from the insertion tube (8.
In the preceding step, in the right legrest, the footplate attachment (22), the width
compensation (17) and the footplate (11) are separated simultaneously from the
insertion tube (8).
• Loosen cap nut (4) and pull the insertion tube (8) from the slide tube (24).
• Loosen clamping piece (6) and detach together with screw (7), washer (5) and cap nut (4)
from the slide tube (24).
The two following steps refer exclusively to the right legrest!
• Loosen self-tapping screw (21) completely and pull footplate attachment (22) with width
compensation (17) from the footplate (11).
• Remove leaf spring (13) out of the footplate (11).
The two following steps apply to both legrests!
• Remove cap (19), detach nut (18) from countersunk screw (16) and remove footplate
attachment (22) with bush (27) from width compensation (17).
• If necessary, unscrew regulating screw (14) with counter-nut (15) from width compensation
(17).
• Remove cap (19), unscrew hexagon head screw (2) from the cone (25) and detach screw
(2) with washer (28), bush (27) and cone (25) from the upper part of the legrest (26).
• Separate slide tube (24) from the upper part of the legrest (26).
• If necessary, remove sliders (3, 29) and cap (23)
The sliders are inserted. They can be levered off using a suitable tool such as a
screwdriver.
9.7.2

Reassembly of legrests

Reassembly takes place in the reverse order.
• Observe part orientation while reassembling (left-hand /
right-hand side).
• Insert leaf spring (13) correctly.
• Adjust legrests to identical length .
• Adjust regulating screws (14) correctly and secure with nuts (15).
