PERIODIC INSPECTIONS:
n Regularly inspect the drive chain for wear and proper tightness. The chain should be tight. A chain
that is too tight may cause damage to the motor bearings and chain. The chain should deflect 1/4in.
when pushed in the center.
n Once every year or so the chain should be lightly lubricated with wheel bearing grease. If the chain
begins to grind and rumble in its path between the motor and differential sprockets, see your Pride
provider for minor alignment.
n Inspect the drive belt for wear and proper tightness. The belt should deflect about 1/8in. when
pushed in the center. If the belt is too loose, it may slip.
