The Bissell LIFT-OFF Deep Cleaner may not be picking up water properly for the following reasons:

1. Tank not seated properly: Ensure both tanks are picked up and reseated so they fit snugly on the unit.
2. Nozzle not assembled correctly: Verify the nozzle cover's "lip" is securely hooked into the groove at the top of the nozzle.
3. Portable spot cleaner not attached completely: Check that the portable spot cleaner is firmly attached by pushing it down completely.
4. Dirty tank is full: Empty the dirty tank if it has reached the maximum fill line.
5. Formula and water tank is empty: Check the fluid levels in the formula and water tank and refill if necessary.
6. Suction gate is open: Ensure the suction gate is closed by following the instructions in the manual.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact BISSELL Consumer Care for further assistance.
