Press x.

Press REC TO USB on the unit.
The REC TO USB indicator flashes. Then,
"PUSH PLAY" and the remaining space of
the USB device appear alternately in the
front panel display.

Press H.
Transferring starts and the REC TO USB
indicator lights up.
When transferring is completed,
"COMPLETE" appears in the front panel
display and the disc and the USB device
stop automatically.
To cancel transferring, press x.
To transfer a single track on an
audio CD or a single MP3 file onto
a USB device
You can transfer the track/MP3 file that is
currently playing back. A track on an audio CD
is transferred onto a USB device by encoding to
MP3 format.

Load an audio CD/DATA CD/DATA
DVD.

Select the desired track/MP3 file, then
press H.
Playback of the selected track/MP3 file
starts.

Press REC TO USB on the unit.

Transferring of the selected track/MP3 file

Folder and file generation
rules
When transferring onto a USB device, a
"MUSIC" folder is created directly below the
"ROOT". Folders and files are generated within
this "MUSIC" folder as follows according to the
transferring method and source.
• When transferring all tracks on an audio CD or
all MP3 files on a DATA CD/DATA DVD

Erasing audio files on a USB
device
You can erase audio files (".mp3," ".wma," or
".m4a") on the USB device.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
"USB" appears in the front panel
display.

Press X/x to select a folder.
x To erase all audio files in a folder
Press CLEAR.
