5.3.

Keypad Lock

The keypad lock helps to prevent accidental dialling, which can happen if the handset
is kept in a pocket. When the keypad lock is activated the display shows KEY
LOCKED.
To activate or deactivate the keypad lock:

When the lock is active, you can answer calls as normal and use all keys during the
call. However, the key lock is reactivated at the end of the call.
5.4.

Volume Control

The volume of the earpiece can be adjusted during phone calls. The volume switch
for the earpiece is located at the right side of the handset. When the volume switch is
pressed the display shows the volume setting. The volume can be increased with the
+ key, it can be decreased with the - key.

Making Calls
5.5.1. Dialling
There are a number of ways to make a phone call:

On-hook dialling

Off-hook dialling
Dial a number from the personal phone book
Redial numbers.
These methods are described in the following subsections.
5.5.2. On-Hook Dialling
On-hook dialling is used to dial a phone number using the numeric keys. On-hook
dialling allows you to check and correct the number before the call is made.
