Disconnect the charger from the electric outlet once
charging
is
complete.

Remove the batteries from the charger. Batteries may become
warm during charging. Use caution when handling them.

Before using the battery charger, read all instructions and
cautionary markings on the battery charger.

CAUTION

reduce the risk of injury, charge only SANYO
HR-3U and N-3US rechargeable batteries. Other types of
batt~ries
may burst causing personal injury and damage.
4.
Do not expose charger to rain or snow.
5.
Use of an attachment may cause fire, electric shock, or injury
to
persons.

Do not
operate charger if it
has
received a sharp blow, been
dropped,
or otherwise damaged in any way.
Have
it serviced
at an authorized service
center.
7.
Do not disassemble
charger.
Take it to an authorized service
center for service or repair if required.
8.
Incorrect reassembly may result in the risk of electric shock
or fire.
9.
To
reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug charger from
outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
Turning off controls will not
reduce
this risk.

How
to use check position
1.
Slide battery type switch to Ni-MH or Ni-Cd.
Place 1 AA
or 1 AAA
size battery into the charger's check
position
so that the +
(positive) and
-
(negative) ends (terminals) of the batteries
correspond to the same+ and
-
marking
in
the charger.
2.
The LED
charge indicator
light
will blink
red
for about 5 seconds.
3.
The LED
charge indicator
light
will then display the remaining
capacity of the battery for about 5 seconds before returning to
normal charging
mode.
• If
the
LED
charge indicator
light
displays red-
The
remaining
capacity of the
battery
in the check position is 50% or
less.
• If
the
LED
charge indicator
light
displays orange-
The
remaining
capacity of the
battery
in the check position is between 50% and
80%.
If the
LED
charge indicator
light
displays green- The remaining
capacity of the battery in the check position is 80% or more.

Do not immerse in water or use

humid area
such as in a bathroom.
Insert
batteries correctly by
matching+
and

ends of the
battery to the
same+ and - position
in the
charger.
Disconnect charger
from
receptacle (outlet)
before cleaning,
maintenance,
or when not in
use.
Be
sure to
use
charger
with
correct voltage
only (120V
AC).
Do
not attempt to charge
for more than
2
days
(48
hours)
continuously.
Never
handle
charger or batteries with wet or
moist hands.
Disconnect
the plug
from the
outlet.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
LED CHARGE
INDICATOR LIGHT
Light is on (steady) while charging and turns off
automatically when charging is complete.
HOW TO CHARGE
1. Slide battery type switch
to
Ni-MH or Ni-Cd.
Place 1
to 4 of AA
or 1 to 2 of
AAA
size
batteries
into the charger so that the +
(positive) and - (negative) ends (terminals) of the
batteries correspond
to the
same + and - marking in the
charger. For fastest charging time of 1 to 2 AA batteries, insert
them into the Quick Charge positions (Figure A). For charging 1
to 2 AAA batteries, use center positions (Figure
B). NOTICE:
AA
and AAA batteries should not be charged simultaneously.
Electrical performances are not guaranteed when AA and AAA
batteries are charged together.
2.
Fold out foldaway plug and insert
into
an electrical outlet of AC
100-240V. The
LED
charge indicator will be red, and battery
charging begins. (NOTE:
Do
not insert or remove batteries
during this charging process).When charging is
complete,
the
cljjlrge indicator light turns
off.
The
charging cycle time
depends on battery type and the condition of the
battery.
See
chart on the other side.
