Initial C onfiguration
After p owering o n y our F W-­‐7541, i t w ill b oot u p a nd b e r eady f or t he i nitial
configuration a fter a pproximately t wo m inutes. T he i nitial b oot t akes l onger i f y our
WAN i nterface i s n ot p lugged i nto s omething w here i t c an r eceive a D HCP a ddress,
as i t m ust w ait f or t hat t o t ime o ut. O nce t he s ystem i s b ooted, y ou s hould r eceive a
192.168.1.X I P a ddress o n t he s ystem(s) p lugged i nto t he L AN p ort f rom t he D HCP
server.
Logging i nto t he w eb i nterface
Browse t o h ttps://192.168.1.1 t o a ccess t he w eb i nterface. Y ou w ill b e p rompted f or
username a nd p assword, t he d efault u sername i s a dmin a nd p assword i s p fsense.
Setup W izard
After l ogging i n, t he s etup w izard w ill r un. T his w ill w alk y ou t hrough a f ew s teps t o
get u p a nd r unning w ith a b asic c onfiguration. A t t he f irst s creen, c lick N ext. T he
subsequent s creen a llows y ou t o c onfigure t he h ostname, d omain a nd D NS s ervers
to b e u sed.
Hostname
For h ostname, c hoose a n ame f or t he h ost. T his d oes n ot a ffect f unctionality.
Domain
If y ou h ave a n e xisting D NS d omain i n u se i nside y our n etwork ( such a s a M icrosoft
Active D irectory d omain), u se t hat d omain h ere. T his i s t he d omain s uffix a ssigned
