3.16 CD-ROM Test
First make sure the CD-ROM driver (CDROMDRV.COM) is installed and insert the test
media CD (Toshiba-EMI Test Disk TDY-03). To execute the CD-ROM test, select 13 from
the DIAGNOSTICS TEST MENU, press Enter and follow the directions on the screen. The
CD-ROM test contains four subtests that test the 400 series CD-ROM functions.
Subtest 01 Sequential Read
This subtest is a sequential reading of one block unit (512 bytes) of all logical
addresses.
Subtest 02 Random Address/Data
This subtest reads one-block data and multi-block data from a random address
200 times.
Subtest 03 Read Specified Address
This subtest reads one-block data from a specified address.
Subtest 04 Playback Music
This subtest reads track data from a specified track and plays the sound.
