    This device does not have internal memory and relies on a micro SD card for storing recorded files. The micro SD card should be inserted with the gold contacts facing up. The Mini Recorder is compatible with micro SD cards up to 16GB capacity. BrickHouse Security User’s Guide...
  • Page 7 To Power On and Off To Power On the Mini Recorder, push and hold the power button for 3 seconds. When the device is turned on, the blue LED light will glow and stay steady. To Power Off the Mini Recorder, push and hold the power button until the blue LED light disappears.
  • Page 8 Changing the Date & Time Connect the Mini Recorder to your computer using the USB cable. Most computers will automatically recognize the device and a window may pop up with options. Choose the option to “Open Folder to View Files.” This will take you to the root directory of the device.
  • Page 9 To Record When the Mini Recorder is powered on, press the record button to begin recording. When the device is recording, the blue LED light will glow and stay steady with a flashing purple LED light.
  • Page 10 When Sound Activation Recording is enabled, the Mini Re- corder will record in 2 Minute Segments. After 2 minutes, if there is no more sound, the Mini Recorder will stop and save the recording. If there is still sound, the Mini Recorder will continue to record.
  • Page 11: Auto Power Off

    Auto Power Off When the Mini Recorder is recording and runs out of power it will automatically save the recording before it powers off. When the micro sd card is filled to capacity, the device will automatically save the recording before it powers off.
  • Page 12 Viewing Recorded Files To view recorded files, connect the Mini Recorder to your computer using the USB cable. Most computers will automati- cally recognize the device and a window may pop up with op- tions. Choose the option to “Open Folder to View Files”. This will take you to the root directory of the device.
