Yuu can check disc information and yon can use some functions
using the on-screen bar.
Showing the on-screen bar
• Whenever a disc is loaded
Press ON SCREEN•
Each time you press the button, the on-
screen bar changes as follows on the TV screen.
Example: During DVD VIDEO playback
OFF
(The on-screen bar disappears)
(back to the beginnin 9)
• The currently selected item shows as green with an arrow.
• Contents ofthe on-screen bar duringplayback

Shows disc type,
Shows audio in%rmation.
Shows disc number.
Shows current title number.
For DVD VIDEO: Shows current chapter number.
For other type of discs: Shows current track number.
Shows time information. See "(;hanging the time informatioff'
bdow.
[r Shows playback status.
_: appears during playback.
/ _: appears during l:ast forward/reverse.
/ _: appears during playback in lbrward slow-motion
reverse slow-motion.
_: appears when paused.
_: appears when stopped.

Changing the time information
You can change the time information in the
on-screen bar on the TV screen and the
display window of the center unit.
• During playback
7 Press ON SCREEN twice.
The on-screen bar appears on the TV screen.
2 Press Cursor I_/_1 to highlight
3 Press ENTER repeatedly to select the
desired information•
Example: When elapsed playing time of disc is selected.

• Time: Elapsed playing time of current chapter
• REM: Remaining time of current chapter
• TOTAL: Elapsed time of title
• T. REM: Remaining time of title
• VCD/SVCD/CD
• Time: Elapsed playing time of current track
• REM: Remaining time of current track
• TOTAL: Elapsed time of disc
• T. REM: Remaining time of disc
Press ON SCREEN•
The on-screen bar disappears.
