Press the shutter button fully down.
"REV appears on the LCD screen, and recording of the image and sound on
the "Memory Stick" begins.

Press the shutter button fully down again to stop recording.
The recording stops.
When selecting the 320 (HQ) size: The recording stops in approximately 15
seconds (page 52).
When selecting the 320x240 or 160x 112 sizes: The recording stops when the
"Memoly Stick" is full.

Using the self-timer

When you use the self-timer function, the subject is recorded about 10 seconds after
you press the shutter button.
1. Clear the menu (page 18).
2. Press the control button V (@), then press the shutter button.
The 0 (self-timer) indicator appears on the LCD screen, and the recording starts about IO
seconds after you press the shutter button. The self-timer lamp flashes and a beep sounds after
you press the shutter button until the shutter is released.

Press the control button V (8) again.
LCD screen indicators
during recording
Each time you press DSPLiLCD ON/OFF, the status of the LCD screen changes as
follows: all indicators on -+ indicators off + LCD screen off.
These indicators are not recorded. See page 97 for a detailed description of the
indicators.
q Note
When using the camera for long periods, use the AC power adaptor. If you
remove the battery pack or otherwise turn off the power partway through a recording, the
moving image recorded thus far is not saved. When the c\7 mark appears while operating the
camera, stop the recording at this point before the battery completely runs out.
